SWEDISH RALLY PREVIEW

The Swedish Rally opens this year's Production Rally Championship. The Nordic round is the only one with fully snow covered roads and it remains very much a place for specialists with Swedish and Finnish drivers as the likely winners due to their better knowledge of the kind of driving required on such extremely fast and slippery surfaces. In fact the very high speeds are another special feature of this event, in 2003 the winning average was 118 kph, second only to the Finnish Rally among the WRC events.

   IN SERGIO'S VIEW

"The Swedish Rally is a very special event because it's the only "snow" round of the championship, I've always dreamt of competing there so I'm really looking forward to the start.
Obviously, given that it's our maiden run in the series, and especially given how difficult this rally is, our only target is to finish, gather experience and start to learn about the World Championship and how the rallies in this series are run. We know that it will be impossible to be near to the top drivers and we'll try to adapt our driving to the race conditions and keep improving our pace."
